He was in Rasmus and Benjamin's ages when this happened, he WAS THERE. The story is so real, not only because the author can write, but because he lived this life.

In fact, the brutal facts that are thrown in our faces in these reads will not make you feel any better. They will break your heart, perhaps even more so, because the reader will go inside this universe, knowing that this HAVE HAPPENED, that this is not entierly fictional. If these books ever gets translated (and I hope to god they will be), read them.
